Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Dialysis Center

This fast-track project involved renovating 7,400 square feet, resulting in nine treatment rooms, a central nurses’ station, a laboratory, medical storage/utility area, bathrooms for patients and staff, a manager’s office, and a filtration room. Piping specific to dialysis treatment was installed to accommodate advancing technology and potential growth. The center will primarily serve hospital patients.

July 2015

With the renovations completed, Fink's Pandora store at Valley View Mall opened on Friday, July 17, 2015. Construction for the tenant up-fit included a total remodel of the 1,100 square foot space. New tile flooring, paint, lighting and glass storefront were installed. In keeping with Pandora's design elements, the facade incorporated ribbon panels on the store exterior. All of the casework in the store was fabricated and installed to meet Pandora's design standards.

May 2015

Turner Long Construction has been awarded the tenant up-fit for a new Pandora retail store across from Fink's Jewelers at Valley View Mall. Construction will involve a complete gut and rebuild of the space located on the second floor of the mall. The up-fit includes new electrical, HVAC duct work, casework, flooring, paint and storefront. The store is slated to open the end of June.

Turner Long Construction and Carilion Clinic Project Management and Design jointly received the 2015 Teamwork Award presented by the Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers. The award was given for outstanding teamwork on the Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital Third Floor Outpatient Surgery Center project. This award represents a true team effort while making valuable and lasting improvements to the Healthcare Physical Environment of Care. Congratulations to each team member who worked on this project!

April 2015

Interior alterations will begin this month to the enclosed center section of Towers Mall. The work will be performed in three phases. The entire area will get new electrical and mechanical upgrades. During phase one, the section of space facing north will receive all new finishes including flooring, paint and light fixtures. The second phase calls for the removal of the escalator and the installation of an elevator. The surrounding area will be expanded to accommodate enhanced customer seating. During the third construction phase, all of the businesses located on the south side of the enclosed section of the mall will remain open. Those businesses will get new storefront along with new flooring, paint and light fixtures. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. The architect is C2A Architecture.
